Help! My Crown Came Off!

repair broken dental crown Las Vegas

You are chewing an apple and hear an odd sound, then something in your mouth feels wrong. One of your crowns has come loose. Chances are, the crown can be re-cemented. What do you do before heading over to Summer Dental in Las Vegas? It’s vital that you take the following steps:

Don’t Swallow It!
This may seem like a no-brainer, but we are mentioning it because it has been known to happen. If you do, you will have some extra issues that aren’t pleasant. Instead, carefully take the crown out of your mouth.

Look Carefully
Inspect the crown and your tooth. If there is damage to either, we will need that information. Which brings us to number 3:

Call Summer Dental
We will schedule an appointment promptly and guide you on whether you should use temporary cement to re-attach the crown until you can get to our office and have it permanently re-cemented.

Clean Gently
Use a toothbrush to carefully clean the crown and the unprotected partial tooth.

Handle With Care
While waiting for the crown to be re-cemented, don’t eat anything that is chewy, sticky, or crunchy.

At Summer Dental in Las Vegas we provide crowns and bridges, as well as emergency dentistry. Call our office to schedule an appointment today.
